Humans
Humans are no longer amid late omniwipe race. From start to finish, they are underpowered compared to most races. Starting out hideously weak, their first ascension doesn't even do anything aside from give you the verb Psyche Up. As the wipe goes on, however, they may find that they inch ever-closer to the other races, and although never quite reaching their levels of power, their powerful passives combined with the versatility that comes with discounted skill tree costs might allow them to inch out an occasional miracle win. At the very least, you may do better than other people expect you to.
High Tension is the difference-maker. It's an extremely powerful transformation- almost as powerful as Super Saiyan in terms of what boosts it grants (relatively speaking at least)- enabling Humans to go toe to toe with other races. In exchange for being able to match other races, High Tension has some of the most severe drawbacks of any form: Every minute, Humans take a flat 20% damage, putting them on a timer.
Humans are nightmare mode in terms of difficulty. They are not a race for the faint of heart, nor are they a race for impatient people. They are a race for people who thrive off of small victories that will end up being meaningless if others do not capitalize on them.
Teamwork makes the dream work, after all!
Djinn
With the cancellation of TFS, Popo went into retirement, and as such, his overpowered rare meme race was downgraded to a common. Djinn have far and away the highest stats in the game, but start with a hilariously low BP mod that only becomes acceptable once they ascend further. They're downright strange mechanically, more so than any race in the game. Rather than just dodging ki, they have a chance of being able to eat it. They're the only race able to make and use rings. They can self-cyberize, except with magic instead of technology. They lack any form of transformations, and all they can do is stare at you and smile, turning their anger on and off at will.
That smile.
That damn smile.
Saiyan
The polar opposite of Humans, Saiyans are a race that reigns supreme at almost every stage of the wipe. They start out good, and with every ascension they gain a significant boost. However, their supremacy becomes evident once they hit Super Saiyan. A Super Saiyan has downright ridiculous power early on in their era; nobody else can even hope to compete. Even rare races- designed to be overpowered- will cower in fear of a Super Saiyan. What's the caveat on this? Well, like High Tension, each Super Saiyan form also has drastic downsides to using it. These downsides can be ameliorated with mastery, but by the time you can fully master a form, their power might not be so overbearing. They will always be impressive, however, up until the next tier of forms comes along.
The downsides of each form are as follows:
Super Saiyan 1 starts out with +100% power up upon transformation, along with all the drain that comes with. However, power up is a whopping 75% less effective. In other words, that +100% power only gives you 25% extra BP, with all the drain that comes along with it, and the natural drain that the form has. The first tier of mastery (ascended/ultra) makes it so that you start out with 50% PU and PU is only 50% as effective, and upon fully mastering the form, you accrue no PU related downsides.
Super Saiyan also makes all of your attacks have wound intent toggled on- a downside that is removed upon the first tier of mastery. Not only that, but any form of CC lasts twice as long, and poison and burn do four times as much damage- a downside that only fully mastering the form can remove.
In Super Saiyan 2, as the sadistic nature of a Saiyan is enhanced in this form, all attacks by an unmastered Super Saiyan 2 do 75% less damage unless lethal intent is toggled on. And even then, lethal intent cannot be toggled on unless you are angered. Super Saiyan 2 also has the downside of increased CC duration, but not the increased burn and poison damage.
Super Saiyan 3 has the hideously high drain that it's known for, which never fully goes away even upon being fully mastered.
Super Saiyan 4 has no downsides, but in exchange, is only slightly stronger than Super Saiyan 3 and comes out around the God era.
Super Saiyan God has a limited duration, causing you to revert after a random amount of time- no less than two minutes, though. However, upon reverting, you keep 25% of the form's power in add for quite some time.
Super Saiyan Blue drains your BP the longer it's toggled on, resulting in a form weaker than a mastered Super Saiyan God if left on too long.
